Know Your Condo Rules Before Decking the Halls....Holiday Decorating at The RWP....
It's that time of year again, when we drag out the lights and tinsel to show our neighbors how much we appreciate the holidays. But before you tack, nail or tape holiday decorations outside your Unit, consider your Associations Rules!
1. Door Wreaths: It's acceptable to hang a Holiday door wreath, but please keep in mind - - NO Nails, screws or anything that penetrates the face of the door - -Penetrating the door will break all warranties for that door.
What is acceptable: Metal door hangers, hung from the sill (although it's hard to find one long enough to hang the wreath at the proper level). The following will allow you to easily hang your wreath at the desired level: Command type sticky hooks that can be easily removed by pulling the tab and removing the hook without any damage to the door; or you can thumb tack a piece of ribbon at the top sill of the door and make it the proper length and tie or attach to your wreath.

Generally, those wreath hangers you buy in stores are way too short. They make the center of your wreath hang on the top 1/3 of your door, and it’s much prettier if the top of your wreath is hung more in the top of the second 1/3 region. Just make sure that the center of your wreath is near or slightly above the center of your door.
Take a long length of ribbon, maybe a yard and a half, and loop it around the wreath and through whatever center ornament you are using.
Then, pull the two ends of the ribbon together so they meet at the top. If you are using regular ribbon, just attach it to the top of your door with a small thumb tack and then cut off any extra that may hang past the top of the door. For something like jute ribbon or very thin ribbon that has a really open weave, just fold about an inch or two under and then tack it on the top of your door. The tack is flush with the top of your door, so it doesn't interfere with the door opening and closing.
You can also take the ribbon and tie it to the wreath then just pull one strand up and tack, instead of doubling up the ribbon around the wreath. Either way works...but you will have to fold an inch or two under to tack since you are only using a single piece of ribbon.
2. Balcony Decorations: Lights and Garland are acceptable. Please keep all balcony decorations neat & tidy!
Attach Lights With Plastic Zip Ties

NOTE: No penetration to any outside walls, balconies, beams or columns with nails, screws, etc. (This is a year round rule)
3. Time Limit: Please have all wreaths and balcony decorations down by January 7th, 2015 -- unless you have written permission from the board to keep them up for a special reason.
